WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

We’re based in Dartmouth, Devon, producing printed garments and merchandise for local businesses, brands, clubs, events and individuals.

HOW DO I GET A QUOTE?

Send us a message with as much of the following information as possible:

• The type of garment you need, such as T-shirts, hoodies or sweatshirts.
• Your preferred garment colour.
• The total quantity and sizes required.
• Your artwork or an image of the design.
• Where you would like the design printed.
• The approximate print size.
• Whether you need delivery or collection.
• Any deadline you’re working towards.

 

If you’re unsure about any of this, don’t worry we can help you work through the options.

WHAT PRINTING METHODS DO YOU USE?

We primarily use direct-to-film printing, usually called DTF. The design is printed onto a specialist transfer film and applied to the garment using a heat press.

We also offer direct-to-garment printing, or DTG, through specialist production partners. This method prints ink directly onto the fabric.

We also offer embroidery and vinyl printing. We’ll recommend a suitable option based on your design, garment choice and order requirements.

WHAT GARMENTS CAN YOU PRINT?

T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and tote bags are popular choices. Other garments may also be suitable, depending on the fabric, construction and print position.

We can also help with other non-clothing branded garments. We have supplied a large variety of other items in the past so please let us know what you require. 

CAN YOU HELP ME CHOOSE THE GARMENTS?

Absolutely. Let us know what the garments are for, your budget and the kind of fit or finish you’re looking for.

Whether you need everyday workwear, event merchandise or something for your own clothing brand, we can help you choose an appropriate garment.

IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?

Minimum quantities depend on the garment, design and production method. Send us your requirements and we’ll confirm what’s possible. Smaller orders can have a higher cost per item because artwork and preparation time are spread across fewer garments.

CAN I ORDER A SAMPLE?

Please ask if you would like a sample before committing to a larger order.

Blank garment samples and printed samples may be available by arrangement. We’ll confirm availability, cost and any effect on your delivery schedule before proceeding.

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

Turnaround depends on the order size, garment availability, artwork preparation and our production schedule. We’ll confirm an estimated timescale with your quote.

Production normally starts once the required payment has cleared, suitable artwork has been received and the final details have been approved.

CAN YOU HELP WITH AN URGENT ORDER?

Possibly - please contact us with your requirements and the date you need the garments.

We’ll check what can realistically be achieved before accepting the order. A rush charge may apply, but we’ll always confirm this upfront.

HOW SHOULD I SUPPLY MY ARTWORK?

Please send the original, highest-quality file you have.

Vector artwork, such as a suitable AI, EPS or PDF file, is useful for logos and lettering. A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background can also work well for full-colour designs.

For raster images, aim for 300dpi at the actual print size. Simply changing a file’s resolution setting or saving a small image as a PDF won’t restore missing detail.

If you’re unsure, send the file over and we’ll check it.

CAN YOU PRINT FROM A PHOTO OR SCREENSHOT?

Sometimes, but the result depends on the image quality and the size you want it printed.

Screenshots and images saved from websites or social media are often compressed, which can make them look blurred or pixelated when enlarged.

We’ll advise whether your file is suitable or whether the artwork needs improving or recreating.

CAN YOU USE A DESIGN I’VE MADE WITH AI?

Yes, provided the artwork is suitable for printing and you have the necessary rights to use it.

AI-generated images sometimes contain distorted lettering, unwanted backgrounds or details that need correcting. Looking sharp on a phone screen doesn’t always mean a file is ready for garment printing.

If preparation or recreation is needed, we’ll explain the work involved and quote for it before proceeding.

IS ARTWORK PREPARATION INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Basic preparation of suitable artwork, such as sizing and positioning, is included in our printing prices.

Redrawing logos, rebuilding lettering, removing complex backgrounds, correcting poor-quality images and creating new designs are separate artwork services.

We’ll always agree any additional artwork charge with you before starting. You can also supply a suitable print-ready file to avoid recreation costs.

CAN YOU DESIGN SOMETHING FOR ME?

Yes - we can quote for design work as well as printing.

Send us your ideas, any existing branding and a brief explanation of what you want to achieve. We’ll agree the scope and cost before starting.

Please mention if you also need artwork files for signage, social media or other suppliers, so we can include those requirements in the quote.

WILL I SEE THE DESIGN BEFORE YOU PRINT?

We’ll agree the artwork and order details with you before production. Where a digital mockup is provided, please check the wording, design, print size, placement and garment choices carefully.

Mockups show the intended appearance, but they aren’t an exact representation of printed colour, fabric texture or garment proportions.

WILL THE PRINT MATCH THE COLOURS ON MY SCREEN?

Not necessarily exactly. Screens display colour differently, and the garment fabric, garment colour and printing method can all affect the finished result.

If you need a particular brand colour or are matching existing merchandise, tell us before ordering. We can discuss what is achievable and whether a physical sample would be useful.

CAN YOU PRINT ON GARMENTS I SUPPLY?

We may be able to, but please check with us before purchasing or dropping off garments.

Not every fabric or finish is suitable for printing. We’ll assess the items, explain any concerns and confirm whether a test is recommended before accepting the job.

HOW DO I PAY?

Payment details and the required payment schedule will be shown on your quote or invoice.

We normally require the relevant payment to clear before artwork or production begins, unless we’ve agreed otherwise with you.

CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?

Collection from Dartmouth can be arranged. We’ll let you know when your order is ready and confirm the collection details. If you need delivery, let us know when requesting a quote so we can include the cost and arrangements.

HOW SHOULD I WASH MY PRINTED GARMENTS?

Follow the care instructions supplied with your order.

Unless we advise otherwise, wash inside out on a cool cycle, avoid bleach, do not tumble dry and do not iron directly over the print. The printed decoration may need gentler care than the blank garment’s label suggests.

CAN I RETURN PERSONALISED GARMENTS?

Correctly supplied personalised garments cannot normally be returned simply because you’ve changed your mind or selected the wrong size.

This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, incorrectly described or different from the agreed order.

If there’s a problem, contact us promptly with your order details and photographs where appropriate so we can put it right.

DO I NEED PERMISSION TO PRINT A LOGO OR IMAGE?

You must own the artwork or have permission to use it for your order. This includes company logos, photographs, illustrations, fonts and other protected material.

The same applies to artwork created using AI. We may ask for evidence of permission where appropriate.
